Can you answer scrabblenut79’s question about Chocolate?:
I want to use chocolate molds to make some small chocolate candies in a variety of shapes for Christmas. I bought a large bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 2 large bars of milk chocolate to tone down the intensity of the chocolate and make it creamier. Will this work? I am concerned that the two chocolates might separate when they cool. I want a better quality chocolate than the typical easter candy kind, but I don’t want to spend the money on gourmet chocolate.

Also, how long can I store the finished candies at room temperature?

Can you answer Mom-o-Three’s question about Chocolate?:
My daughter and some of my relatives are allergic (not lactose intolerant but fully allergic) to milk. There are chocolate candies from specialty shops that don’t use milk in their chocolate but the cost an arm and a leg. I was hoping to make some “safe” chocolate candies for them for Christmas as they love chocolate but can’t eat anything with milk in it. I’d love to find a way to make candy bars, etc. WITHOUT the use of milk (soy, rice milk, margarine, etc would be okay). Thanks!
