How should I send homemade chocolate by mail?Answered By Annecy Carlyle - For chocolate bars - get a piece of hard cardboard, tape it at the back of the chocolate bars then carefully enclose in a bubble wrap. - When mailing chocolate with other things, enclose your chocolate in a zip lock bag, press it slightly until there is no air inside. In case your chocolate dissolves, it won't smudge the other things with it. - When your chocolate is already wrapped, you can position it on a styro-box with dry ice then seal and label it. Shipping companies also have their insulated packaging coolants for handling the goods. - Mail your package at the start of the week, to be certain that it does not get stacked up over the weekend. Most companies deliver during business days only. - Another option is to have your package shipped overnight or 2 days during summer and warm weather. This may have an extra charge but it is guaranteed to arrive in perfect condition. - Make sure that all the information is exact when filling up the "ship to" address. Ask for the shipping details; if possible ask the estimated time of date of delivery so that you can inform the recipient to be around during the delivery date. Package that does not require signature is left at the door if no one is around to receive the package. Chocolate will surely melt if left all day outside the house due to warm, cold and humid weather. keywords: Chocolate | Chocolates | Cocoa | Truffles | Candy | Gifts | Mail | US Postal Service | Chocolate Bar
