Chocolate Brownie Recipe: Grand Marnier Double Chocolate Brownie

When a plain chocolate brownie isn't enough, this amazingly delicious gourment brownie is an elegant option.

2 squares unsweetened chocolate 2 squares semisweet chocolate 2 eggs 1/2 cup butter 1 cup white sugar 2/3 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional) 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Melt chocolate. Add sugar, eggs, and butter. Mix dry ingredients. Add to chocolate mixture. Add vanilla. Place in a greased 8x8-inch pan.

Bake for 25 minutes. Immediately after baking, brush on the Grand Marnier. Cool for 1 hour.

Grand Marnier Icing

2 squares semisweet chocolate 2 tablespoons light cream or 2% fat milk 1 tablespoon Grand Marnier (or use 1 tablespoon cream and 2 tablespoons of Grand Marnier) 2 tablespoons butter 1 cup powdered sugar

Melt chocolate and butter together. Stir in cream and Grand Marnier. Add powdered sugar. Spread on cooled brownies.

For best flavor, let sit for 24 hours before eating.
