Can Dark Chocolate Really be Better than Sex?

By Jeffrey Hauser

Many of you are probably thinking that sex wins out every time. But, several female readers are also grinning while contemplating their secret response: it's always dark chocolate. While sex is an emotional and physical act of pure pleasure, eating a piece of decadent dark chocolate has some advantages that aren't immediately obvious. Here are a few health benefits to consider:

It contains large quantities of natural antioxidants, called flavonoids. Antioxidants are believed to reduce the number of free radicals in the body that contribute to medical problems, such as heart disease and cancer. Chocolate contains phenyl ethylamine, a mild mood elevator. The cocoa butter in chocolate contains oleic acid, a mono-unsaturated fat which may raise good cholesterol. Chocolate releases endorphins in the brain, which act as pain-relievers, While eating chocolate boosts ones appetite, but does not cause weight gain, Eating moderate amounts of chocolate makes one live almost a year longer, Chocolate benefits men as well because of the high magnesium content. Good for the heart and hypertension.

These facts are derived from a variety of medical articles readily available to anyone. But then there are many other factors to ponder before you make that important choice. Please notice that they can apply equally to either sex:

Chocolate is available everywhere and relatively inexpensive. It can be carried with you wherever you go. Chocolate will never cheat on you. It can be eaten a bit at a time, thus prolonging pleasure, making it a day-long activity. Chocolate cant get you pregnant. It will never say its too tired, has a headache, or wants an unusual or awkward position. Chocolate is always good for oral pleasure. It never goes limp, especially if refrigerated first. Chocolate can be licked indefinitely and also in public. Its perfect for all ages and doesnt need any additional devices or pills, for support Chocolate comes in a variety of shapes, sizes, flavors, that all taste good. It will always be there for you when you need it most.

Can you say that about your sexual partner? I didnt think so. I didnt even need to get to the part about buying you gifts, remembering your anniversary, or feeling unfulfilled because you didnt achieve orgasm. Did I mention that you can do both (like having your cake and eating it too) if you get creative with dark chocolate syrup? I rest my case.
